Rakshabandhan celebration 2024-2025
Raksha Bandhan, a cherished Hindu festival, celebrates the profound bond between brothers and sisters. Observed on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravan, typically in August, it involves sisters tying a sacred thread called “rakhi” around their brothers’ wrists. This act symbolizes the sister’s prayers for her brother’s well-being and the brother’s vow to protect her. The festival is marked by rituals such as performing aarti, applying tilak, and exchanging gifts. Beyond biological siblings, Raksha Bandhan extends to cousins, close friends, and those considered family, reflecting its inclusive spirit. This festival not only strengthens familial bonds but also underscores the values of love, protection, and mutual respect within the family.
Happy Rakshabandhan 2024: Raksha Bandhan is celebrated as a festival of peace and harmony. On this day, the sisters tie a thread or a bracelet to their brothers and the brothers, in return, promise to be their sisters' protectors for their entire life. The Rakhi, or the thread, is a pious symbol . It is a festival that honors the bond between siblings. On this day, sisters prepare a special Puja Thali and perform the Rakhi ceremony to express their love and prayers for their brothers. In view of this our school organized some very good activities where II and III classes showed their extraordinary creativity in rakhi making, class IV participated in an outstanding thali decoration activity and class V showcased their artistic skills with the card making activity.
